Taxation, Corporate and M&A

Ms. Belmonte is actively involved in the Firm’s Taxation Practice Group, Banking & Finance Practice Group, and Corporate Finance Practice Group. She is the youngest partner to join the Firm upon her promotion in January 2021.

Ms. Belmonte specializes in tax and corporate law matters, including tax advisory and consultation work, tax advocacy and litigation, tax planning and compliance, estate planning, estate settlement, corporate services work, contract review, due diligence, and special project transactions. She advises client on the most tax-efficient structure for intended business transactions. She represents clients before the tax agencies, such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Philippine Economic Zone Authority, and different local government units, in securing a favorable tax ruling or refund. She also represents the Firm’s clients before the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Court of Tax appeals in connection with tax refund claims and tax assessment cases.

Ms. Belmote is a Certified Public Accountant and a certified Chartered Trust and Estate Planner.
