Position

Bryan is the founder of Via Law Corporation, a specialist law firm that focuses on Intellectual Property (“IP”) and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (“TMT”).

Via Law Corporation subsequently entered into a partnership with Taylor Vinters Via and Via Law Corporation was renamed to Taylor Vinters Via LLC.

Bryan is active in litigious matters in the Singapore courts involving the protection of intellectual property and is developing an arbitral practice in TMT. Bryan also undertakes transactional and advisory work for clients in relation to TMT. Because of his experience as in-house counsel at IBM and Microsoft, Bryan represents both vendors and customers in negotiations involving technology transactions.

Career

Prior to returning to Singapore and legal practice in 2010, Bryan worked in the United States for Microsoft and IBM. At Microsoft, Bryan was the Associate General Counsel and lead attorney for the Windows division and dealt with legal issues relating to Windows. At IBM, Bryan undertook numerous roles in the legal and finance departments.

Bryan was a litigation partner at Khattar Wong & Partners, a firm he joined out of law school. He helped establish their IP practice and was active in litigating numerous IP matters.

As an accredited arbitrator, he has been appointed as an IP arbitrator by both Singapore International Arbitrator Centre (SIAC) and Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HIAKC). He is also a member of the Singapore Academy of Law LawNet Management Committee.
