Position

Linda is a Consultant in Howse Williams’ family and matrimonial practice. Linda’s cases often involve families with assets in multiple jurisdictions around the world. She practices across the board in family law cases involving children and finances. Cases relating to children include disputes over custody, care and control and other parenting disputes both in respect of married and unmarried couples and cohabitants. An increasing number of her cases involve international relocation of children. She has acted in applications for private adoptions, usually with extended families or step-families and cases involving the abduction or return of children to or from Hague Convention and non-Hague Convention countries. Her cases in respect of family finances include maintenance claims made for or against her clients, substantial capital claims, including property transfers as well as applications to restrain disposal of assets or to set aside dispositions of assets made to defeat her client’s claims. She is involved in an increasing number of cases involving third party resources and an increasing number of pre-nuptial and post nuptial settlements. Linda is a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is collaboratively trained and was a founding member and office holder of the Hong Kong Collaborative Practice Group. She is an active member of and past Chairwoman of the Hong Kong Family Law Association.
