Position

Mariano is a partner in our Intellectual Property practice, based in Madrid. With more than 19 years’ experience, Mariano is a specialist in processing Spanish, European Union and other trademarks, with a particular focus on trademark prosecution, opposition proceedings, appeals, conflict research, strategic advice and negotiations.  

Career

He acts for a range of Spanish, European, American and Asian (notably Japanese and Korean) companies on the brand management issues across Central and South America. In addition, Mariano also advises on the full range of internet and information technology issues, including data privacy, open source software, domain names and keyword advertising, amongst other things.

Memberships

He is a Marques Member of the Intellectual Asset Management Committee.

Education

Mariano is a regular lecturer on intellectual property issues.
