Lawyer Rankings

France > Private equity: venture/growth capital

Bird & Bird has ramped-up its activity for start-ups and growth companies, while maintaining a busy caseload acting for venture capital funds and CVCs. With a clear focus on the technology and life-science sectors, the Paris team -which frequently works in conjunction with the firm’s international venture capital group- is a particularly good choice for multi-jurisdictional matters in these two key sectors. Ties with their colleagues in Germany and the Nordics are also particularly close. Another asset is the Paris team’s cross-practice strength, with the restructuring and finance teams as important complementary service offerings. Emmanuelle Porte is the co-head of the French corporate team alongside Gildas Louvel, as well as the French life sciences team practice head and the co-lead of the venture capital team, alongside David Malcoiffe in Lyon. Technology expert Bertrand Lévy is the key contact for the LBO practice.

Paris > Fusions-acquisitions
