Career

He has been advising leading corporate clients from the construction, energy, infrastructure, automotive and food & beverage sectors since 1996. Bartłomiej advises clients on creating dispute resolution strategies and policies, represents them and leads contract negotiations, especially infrastructural contracts based on FIDIC conditions. His dispute resolution experience covers numerous cases, in which he has represented clients: before the Supreme Court and the common courts; before the administrative courts including the Supreme Administrative Court; domestic arbitrations according to the rules of the Polish Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Court, Lewiatan as well as ad hoc arbitration according to equity rules; in international arbitration proceedings according to the rules of the ICC, SCC, LCIA and UNCITRAL.

Bartłomiej led a team of lawyers and advised in several international investment arbitrations representing Poland in the disputes referred by Polish State Treasury Solicitors Office.  

In 2014, he was honored by the British guide “Guide to the World’s Leading Lawyers – Construction and Real Estate” in the category “Construction”, being placed in a narrow group of eight leading Polish specialists in this area.

He has been a speaker in numerous debates, conferences and panel discussions devoted to the problems of international arbitration of investment and economic development.
