Weerawong Chittmittrapap is widely recognised as one of Thailand’s most experienced lawyers in banking and finance, capital markets, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and public-private partnerships for the development of major infrastructure projects in Thailand. He is renowned for advising clients on strategic transactions, including some of the largest mergers and acquisitions in Southeast Asia to date. Weerawong is the author of books on directors’ roles, duties, and responsibilities for the Bank of Thailand, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Stock Exchange of Thailand, and was retained by the World Bank for the preparation of the Corporate Governance Country Assessment of the Kingdom of Thailand.
