Joe specialises in three areas, Investment Commercial Property advice, Purchase and Sale, and Real Estate finance.
As a result of working in these areas, he also has a great deal of experience in landlord and tenant matters. On the investment side Joe acts for a number of private companies with property assets worth over £150 million and a PLC company with property assets around £75 million.
Joe led a team acting for Santander UK PLC in the refinance of a portfolio of nursing homes for £44m, and in 2015 whilst acting for the same lender amongst other transactions he acted for three significant refinances of property portfolios of £18m, £13m and £11m.
Joe has also led a team acting for care home operators on acquiring and disposing of their care homes business which included all property and funding issues. He lead a team of lawyers in 2015 acting for investor clients in the purchasing and selling of at least 10 estates and properties between £3 and £8m. Joe has also advised on the disposal of a hotel for £6.5m in west London and in addition, led a team in the refinance of two hotel portfolios (located in central London and Midlands) for £11m and £4m.
Joe is also a member of our Watford based Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences sector team, which focuses on advice to pharma, pharmacy and medtech.
Meeting Your Needs
Having initially worked for a financial institution before qualifying as a lawyer has helped Joe understand real estate finance and he is therefore able to advise and be a sounding board for his clients in their investment strategy in the property sector. Joe’s career and specialisms reflect his interest in both property and finance, and in particular the macro economic conditions which are currently affecting the world economy and how it affects the UK property investment market.
