Mark is a specialist commercial and healthcare lawyer who advises on a range of commercial, corporate, procurement and general contracting areas for both NHS and private sector clients and has a particular specialism in primary care contracting and commissioning.

With Primary Care Networks (PCNs) being high on the agenda for many GP practices, Mark can help you consider your options, from supporting you with the initial set-up and structure through to models and drafting up your agreements.

Meeting Your Needs

Mark has been working with GP practices and provider organisations for over 13 years and in addition to developing partnership deeds, Mark specialises in primary care at scale focusing on:

• primary care networks
• mergers and acquisitions
• GP federating – formal and informal collaborations
• incorporation of GP practices
• new models of care – collaborations with NHS and foundation trusts, private providers, alliance contracting and lead/prime provider models

As a regulatory specialist, Mark has drafted several iterations of the national primary medical service contracts (GMS, PMS and APMS) and developed the APMS compliant schedule for the NHS Standard Contract. He has also developed a number of variants, including contracts for extended access and enhanced service schemes. Mark also developed one of the first vanguard MCPs in South England involving an NHS Foundation Trust working in collaboration with GP practices.

Mark has also built a reputation as a specialist dental solicitor with expertise in the acquisition and sale of dental practices advising a range of dental care professionals, dental corporations and LDC’s on various contractual and commercial issues.
