Position

Corinne is a partner and Head of the Professional Practices team.  She specialises in advising on partnerships, limited partnerships, LLPs and their uses for professional firms, fund managers and wealth planning vehicles. In the professional services sector, she advises both firms and individual partners on a wide range of matters. She also advises on partnerships, limited partnerships and LLPs in relation to their use as fund managers, in joint ventures and as family wealth planning vehicles and on partner and team moves, regulation and transactions, such as launching new businesses, restructurings, mergers/demergers and LLP conversions.

In addition, Corinne advises on UK and international estate planning. Her experience ranges from preparing wills and LPAs for individuals to succession planning exercises for large, international families.

Using her expertise from both the private wealth and partnerships spheres, Corinne has been instrumental in developing MTG’s and the private wealth industry’s understanding of family partnerships as an alternative to traditional succession planning structures. 

She is ranked in Band 1 as a leading lawyer by Chambers & Partners (2020 edition), and in the Legal 500 2020 guide as a top-tier practitioner.

Career

Corinne trained for two years at Allen & Overy and qualified as a solicitor in September 2005. She left Allen & Overy in 2009 when the private client team demerged to form Maurice Turnor Gardner LLP (MTG).  Corinne has remained at MTG since then and was promoted to partner in 2014. She now leads the firm’s Professional Practices team, as well as serving as the firm’s COLP.  

Languages

Corinne speaks French, having studied Law with French at Newcastle University (including a year studying at Université Nancy 2, now Université de Lorraine).  She also worked for six months at Allen & Overy Luxembourg.
