Associate, Family and Matrimonial

Hannah has established a diverse and busy practice in complex cross-border children disputes, including acting for parents who are applicants and respondents in child abduction and wardship proceedings.

Alongside her international practice, Hannah regularly acts for parents in private law cases including cases involving child contact disputes, domestic violence, fact-finding proceedings, declaration of parentage and applications to relocate with children (both within England and abroad).

Hannah advises cohabitees, married couples and civil partners on all aspects of relationship breakdown and the financial disputes that may arise as a result. She assists with divorce and financial remedy proceedings, including contested divorces and achieving settlements both in and out of court proceedings.

Hannah assists in complex cross-border public law children proceedings, and proceedings to secure the protection of children and vulnerable adults living in this jurisdiction under orders of foreign courts. She works collaboratively with senior members of the team in adoption and surrogacy matters.

Hannah regularly acts for both appellants and respondents within Court of Appeal proceedings, resulting in successful outcomes for clients.

She is an active member of Resolution and is committed to encouraging clients to reach agreement, where possible, via mediation or arbitration.

Career

Hannah joined Bindmans LLP as a paralegal in October 2015, and completed her training at the firm.

Education

Hannah graduated in 2014 from the University of York with a degree in English Literature. She completed the GDL at the University of Law in 2015, and the LPC at London Metropolitan University in 2018.
