Career

Simon is a Partner, specialising exclusively in real estate litigation. Simon joined TWM in 2016 from Shakespeare Martineau LLP’s Real Estate Litigation department.

Simon advises clients on a wide range of real estate disputes with a particular emphasis on 1954 Act business lease renewals and real property claims (i.e. easements in particular rights of way and rights of light, covenants, boundaries, trespass, adverse possession, etc.).

Simon has a wealth of experience in various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including, amongst others, mediation, without prejudice meetings and the making and considering of settlement offers. Where litigation proves necessary, Simon helps clients to assert and/or defend their position through proceedings in both the County Court and High Court.

Much of Simon’s work derives from internal referrals from various departments within the firm, particularly the transactional property departments, as well as external referrals from surveyors, agents and counsel.
