Career

Ian specialises in shipping and commodities trading. He advises shipowners, commodities houses, offshore services, banks and shipowners on disputes involving commodities trade, charterparties, shipbuilding contracts and marine casualties. He is regularly involved in shipping and trading arbitrations and litigation. Ian also has expertise in trade and shipping documentation. Ian read law at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Cambridge University. He is a member of the adjunct faculty at the Singapore Management University, School of Law, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration and an Adjunct Fellow of the NUS Centre for Maritime Law.
