Career

Toh Kian Sing SC is a Senior Partner at Rajah & Tann Singapore’s Shipping & International Trade practice, and has an active practice in bills of lading, charterparty, ship building, marine insurance, commodity disputes with emphasis on letters of credit and finance litigation. He regularly acts as an arbitrator in shipping and commodity disputes and is highly sought after for different types of Sino-foreign joint venture disputes. He has also been appointed as a Senior Accredited Specialist for Maritime and Shipping Law under the Singapore Academy of Law’s Specialist Accreditation Scheme.

Kian Sing authored the only book on Admiralty Law in Singapore, which has been cited by courts in various jurisdictions. He previously lectured at the National University of Singapore and holds a visiting professorship at Dalian Maritime University.
