Jane has a very successful commercial property practice, acting for private investors, developers, landlords, tenants and funders with commercial property interests. She specialises in investment  and retail matters, acting for numerous well known  brands in relation to high street drive throughs and shopping centre deals, as well as all types of commercial property acquisitions and disposals.

Solicitor, Downie Aiton (1993-95); Solicitor, MacRoberts (1995-97); Associate, Clairmonts (1997-2001); Partner, Clairmonts Solicitors (2001-06); Partner, Bell & Scott Solicitors (2006-09); Partner and Head of Real Estate, BTO Solicitors LLP (2009 to date).

Work includes:

• acting for London / Scottish investors buying a number of large city centre office/ retail buildings in Glasgow and Edinburgh;
• acting for London based Costa/KFC/ Taco Bell/ Burger King franchisees in the purchase and lease of a number of units throughout Scotland;
• acting for Starbucks drive through franchisees in the acquisition of a number of leasehold sites in Scotland.
