Career

Kirat is a Partner at the firm’s New Delhi office. He is a litigation lawyer with a specialization in commercial/ corporate disputes, and regulatory litigation issues pertaining to India and also international arbitration and white collar crimes. He also advises his clients and other practice area heads extensively on litigation advisory and strategy.

Over the years he has specialized in marquee and complex commercial disputes and appears regularly before various fora including the Supreme Court of India, and a multitude of High Courts, Tribunals and Commissions all across India. Kirat is also recognized as a go-to counsel for infrastructure disputes including both domestic and international arbitrations. He also has a wide ranging experience in white-collar crimes, including clients involved in the multiple faceted scams and anti-bribery investigations.

He has worked extensively in arbitrations in the power, mining, construction and infrastructure and intellectual property sectors. He has also represented a multitude of Indian and foreign blue-chip business houses from various sectors covering real estate, technology, telecom, aviation, pharmaceuticals and financial institutions.

He has also distinguished himself as a “trusted advisor” to a number of promoters and boards in the past few years.

Prior to joining DSK Legal, Kirat was at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, where he was a Partner for about three years.
