Position
Naval joined the Firm’s dispute resolution practice in 2009. He has 14+ years of experience and specialises in handling disputes related to insurance and reinsurance, construction, shipping, trade credit, bills of exchange, white collar crimes, insolvency disputes, media rights, shareholder disputes and complex commercial contract related disputes for Indian Insurers, Trade Credit Insurers, overseas Reinsurers, and general commercial clients. Naval represents clients in proceedings before Indian Courts, consumer courts, ad-hoc and institutional domestic and international arbitration tribunals, insolvency tribunals and other forums.
Naval has been ranked by Asia Pacific Legal 500 for the last 3 years. The 2022 edition says that “…Naval Sharma…has over a decade of experience specialising in handling disputes for Indian insurers”. The 2021 edition says, “Dedicated and Solution Oriented” Naval Sharma has more than 10 years of experience in disputes spanning insurance, media, white collar crime, employment and various other sectors. The 2020 edition says “Naval Sharma leads on the majority of the firms high value mandates”. Naval has also been recognized by IBLJ for his work, in the 2022 and 2019 Indian law firm Awards.
Career
Naval started his career in 2008 with ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Private Limited. He joined Tuli & Co in 2009 and was made partner in 2017.
