Financial advice includes: advising on the most appropriate security for loans for financial institutions; perfecting the security on behalf of financial institutions to ensure repayment of loans; enforcing security when repayments cannot be met. Corporate advice includes: acquisitions; disposals; takeovers; mergers; de-mergers; reorganisations. Property management includes: acquisitions; site development; freehold purchase and sale; leasehold purchase and sale. Clients include: lending institutions; banks; national retail chains; owner managed businesses; newly-formed companies; limited liability partnerships; partnerships; small and medium sized enterprises; family owned businesses. Clients have included: Abbey Land Limited; Advantage Transition Bridge Fund Limited. Recent cases: Fahmida acted for a bank providing a £20m loan. Fahmida had to check and perfect the security on 80 properties all around the UK within 4-5 weeks. These were a wide range of properties including public houses, working mens’ institutions and hotels. Fahmida’s checks included: the environmental position, local authority and coalmining issues, restrictive covenants and sufficient equity in the property. Awards and recognition: Fahmida was shortlisted for Commercial Solicitor of the Year 2009 at the Birmingham Law Society awards.
