Swee Kee provides legal advice on mergers and acquisitions, foreign investments, joint ventures, corporate and debt restructuring, securities offerings, financial institutions and insurance related regulations, corporate advisory and planning as well as infrastructure and technology related projects. His clients include multinationals, Malaysian corporations and private equity.

His advice and transactions have included the automotive, aviation and airports, banking and insurance, direct sales, education, e-commerce, FMCG, healthcare, hypermarkets, internet service providers (ISPs), logistics, medical technology, railways, solar, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, semiconductor & microelectronics (including wafer fabs), manufacturing, mining and telecommunications industry sectors. The nature of his work include providing legal solutions across the full life cycle of a project (including greenfield and brownfield projects).

Before coming to the law, Swee-Kee worked in banking and two public listed companies for 11 years. He is one of the main contact partners of the firm to the World Law Group (established 1988, a global alliance of leading independent law firms with more than 18,000 legal professionals in 78 countries) as well as its president from 2015 – 2017.

In recent years, his work, apart from the projects for North American and European multinationals such as DuPont/Dow, included China inbound work involving Chinese companies such as Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. Ltd, Cainiao Smart Logistics Network (Hong Kong Limited), CRRC Urban Traffic (Europe) Co Ltd (“CRRC UT”), Sinotrans Limited (listed Hong Kong Stock Exchange), China Oil Field Services Ltd and its subsidiary, COSL Drilling Pan-Pacific Ltd, and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation.
