Position

Rod joined Stone King in January 2013 as a Partner in the Trusts and Estates team in London.

He specialises in advising on, and drafting, complex Wills and trusts, Powers of Attorney, applications for Deputyship and the administration of trusts and estates. Rod’s work often involves more than one jurisdiction.

Rod has had notable successes advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries of estates and trusts who have become dissatisfied with their previous solicitors; he is always happy to explore clients’ concerns on the 'phone or face-to-face' and works to fixed fees.

Career

Trained at Gordon Dadds, Mayfair, qualified as a solicitor in November 1998. Became a partner and head of the wealth and estate planning team at Bolt Burdon, Islington, in April 2003. Joined Stone King in January 2013 as a partner.

Rod Smith  at Stone King LLP specialises in advising on complex wills and trusts, powers of attorney as well as applications for deputyship and the administration of trusts and estates. There is frequently an international element to this work. Alison Allen  acts for a wide range of clients advising them on general private client matters. Allen is experienced at advising on high value probates and trusts and has a particular interest in advising families and carers of vulnerable individuals with impaired mental capacity and /or mental health issues around estate planning and care funding.
