Position

Andrew Lawson specialises in defending catastrophic injuries arising from road traffic accidents and accidents at work. Recent instructions include claims involving significant brain injuries to a toddler, spinal injury resulting in paraplegia to a 21 year old labourer and two claims arising from medical students who were unable to complete their degrees as a result of head injuries sustained. Andrew is also acting on claims including amputations and has recently conducted a claim involving bilateral below knee amputations to an injured cyclist as well as a traumatic amputation to the dominant hand of a 16 year old. His practice also covers the defence of regulatory investigations and prosecutions following work-related incidents and road traffic accidents. He acts on behalf of local authorities in relation to a variety of public sector risks including malicious prosecution, misfeasance and education claims.
