Aruna Kumari is the Senior Resident Partner in the Firm’s Hyderabad office. She is a seasoned lawyer with experience of 20 years in the areas of Real Estate laws, Litigation, Corporate & Commercial laws, Intellectual Property and Employment Laws. She also has a strong hold in the practice area of Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace (POSH).
Aruna is a counsel to many MNCs, real estate & infrastructure companies, IT companies and banks, having extensively advised such clients on various transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, leases, joint development ventures. She provides strategic advice and assistance to foreign corporates in establishing their business in India, especially companies of the IT/ITES sector.
Aruna has been involved in advising numerous corporate clients on routine and complex Employment Law disputes and labour compliances, statutory compliances, and CSR. She has also played a pivotal role for many corporates in formulating their HR and labour policies.
She has advised leading MNCs and software companies on critical issues under the IT Act 2000 and on technology agreements, website and IT policies. Aruna has also advised reputed listed companies on cross border marketing and IP assignment agreements. She also has rich experience of advising telemarketing companies on domain name dispute resolution and high value trademarks infringement cases.
Aruna has extensive experience in advising various banks and NBFC on recovery matters in Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), corporate debt restructuring and securitization related issues. She is actively representing some of the largest public and private sector companies in the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad. She also represents various banks in NCLT for insolvency applications filed under the IBC.
