Career

Ms. Mandy Therese M. Anderson was promoted to partner in the year 2023.

She specializes in taxation, corporate and commercial law and has acted as counsel for sellers and buyers in cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions of private and public companies.  Ms. Anderson has rendered legal advice and opinions on the tax implications of various corporate structures and transactions and various areas of taxation, such as International, Local Government and Customs tariff, duties and taxes.

Ms. Anderson has extensive experience in leading due diligence exercises in various industries and the closing of transactions through share purchase agreements and has participated in the negotiations of sale and purchase transactions and highlighted crucial points and potential administrative, civil, criminal and tax exposures.

In the area of Customs, she has participated in the discussions and drafting of Customs Administrative Orders and Customs Memorandum Orders implementing the recently enacted Customs Modernization and Tariff Act. Ms. Anderson was the Chief-of-Staff during the term of then Bureau of Customs Commissioner Nicanor E. Faeldon from 2016 to 2017.

Ms. Anderson was a lecturer in Tax on Mergers and Acquisitions at for the De La Salle -Far Eastern University MBA-JD Program and is currently a part-time lecturer at the Ateneo de Manila School of Law.

Education

Ms. Anderson obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (2009, magna cum laude) from the University of San Carlos; and Bachelor of Laws (2015, Second Honors) from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law. She ranked 5th in the 2015 Philippine Bar Examinations and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2016.
