The firm: Founded in 1999 by Mr PHAM Nghiem Xuan Bac and other partners, Vision & Associates (V&A), became one of the leading consulting companies in Vietnam, which together with its legal arm, Vision & Associates Legal, offers a broad range of professional services with practical and creative solutions at the most competitive price.

The firm’s members, who bring with them the “vision”, are committed to providing professional services to both corporate and individual clients. Our partners, associates and staff have varied legal, financial and technical backgrounds. V&A is structured into three main practice groups, namely legal practice, intellectual property practice and investment and business consulting practice, which work closely with each other to take advantage of combined knowledge of all practice groups in order to provide comprehensive services to clients. We serve clients in offices located in two economic, social and cultural centres of Vietnam: Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The partners’ extensive experience in the major areas of the practice, with substantial national and international contacts, allow the firm to advise clients on a variety of domestic and international matters. The firm’s lawyers and consultants are qualified to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Types of work undertaken
Legal practice: Involved in all aspects of business laws in Vietnam, we assist clients from multi-national corporations to small and medium sized companies and individuals in establishing their business presence in Vietnam and during their operations. We provide clients with a full range of services including legal advice and research on all areas of laws, review and drafting of legal documents, attending to administrative procedures with state authorities, attending to negotiations with clients, and representing clients in judicial or arbitral proceedings for resolving disputes.

Intellectual property practice: Our intellectual property practice group deals with all aspects of IP rights, copyright and domain name not only in the whole Indochinese peninsula. Our services include research and advice on IP laws, filing and prosecution of applications for trademarks, designs, patents, copyright and Internet domain names; availability searches, assignments and renewals; initiating procedures for oppositions and cancellations; negotiation and drafting of contracts on licensing, technology transfer, franchising and distribution; and taking enforcement and anti-counterfeit action. We also assist clients in IP right enforcement by providing monitoring and “watching” services in respect of infringements and counterfeit of clients’ IP rights.

Investment and business consulting practice: We are strongly confident in providing clients with advice and support in any phase of the full process of investment and doing business in Vietnam. Our services include business ideas and finalization, corporate administration services and technical assistance projects covering all essential aspects of commercial, corporate, regulatory, compliance and technical issues that affect investors and business entities.
