Position

Amer Hussein N. Mambuay is a partner in SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan. He is a member of its Litigation, Employment & Immigration, and Corporate Services groups.

Career

Mr. Mambuay’s litigation practice covers a broad range of cases involving corporate rehabilitation and restructuring, maritime, asset recovery, debt recovery, contract disputes, arbitration, family disputes, intellectual property, enforcement actions, and white collar crimes. He has appeared before regular courts, quasi-judicial agencies, and arbitration tribunals constituted under the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.

His employment and immigration practice includes employment litigation, collective bargaining negotiation, strike management, giving advise on employment aspect of mergers and acquisition, and drafting of employment policies, handbooks, contracts, and various employment related documents.

He is an accredited lecturer for labor law by the Supreme Court in Mandatory Continuing Legal Education and has given lectures in various fora.

Education

Mr. Pamintuan obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1994.
