Adam Foreman is a Partner in the Corporate, Finance and Tax practice group in the Sydney office of Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Adam has acted on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers and schemes of arrangement (both friendly and contested), joint ventures and strategic alliances, debt restructurings and equity and debt capital markets offerings. 

Adam also has extensive experience advising boards and senior management on governance and compliance issues and in dealing with key regulators including ASIC, ASX, ACMA, FIRB and the Takeovers Panel.

He has worked across a number of industries but has significant market experience and expertise in the media, telecommunications and financial services sectors.

The team is supported by media ownership expert Adam Foreman in Melbourne. In addition to its work in media and tech, the group assists in the NGO sector, recently providing pre-publication advice to The Australian Centre for International Justice on a report detailing human rights abuses in Myanmar. Corrs Chambers Westgarth made a wave in the market with the hire of a private equity team from Minter Ellison, with Riccardo Casali, Glen Sauer and Chris Allen joining the Sydney office in mid-2021. This has expanded the firm’s domestic and international private equity capabilities, bolstering the practice with existing strong public and private M&A capabilities, particularly within the real estate sector. Practice head Sandy Mak , who continues to advise on market-leading corporate transactions for domestic and global clients alongside major private equity investments, and was recently appointed to the Takeovers Panel. Andrew Lumsden has a strong record in M&A, and also leads the firm’s China desk.
