Vaughan is head of our PNG practice. He is a very experienced projects and transactions lawyer with a focus on natural resources and infrastructure, particularly in Papua New Guinea.

He has been described as being ‘absolutely commercial with a first class commercial approach’ and has been consistently ranked as a tier 1 leading individual in Chambers Global since 2009. Vaughan is sought out for his experience on some of the world’s largest and complex natural resources projects and transactions.

Vaughan is a Papua New Guinea Lawyer admitted in the National Court of Papua New Guinea. Vaughan is also an Australian Legal Practitioner admitted in the Supreme Courts of Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia, and in the High Court of Australia.

Corrs Chambers Westgarth is home to a ‘commercial, diligent and proactive’ project finance team. It acts for a range of state government, banking and corporate entities on the financing and PPPs in relation to energy, mining, transport and social infrastructure projects; its mandates range from LNG and road projects to those relating to hospitals or student accommodation developments. Rommel Harding-Farrenberg is considered a ‘go-to‘ for project finance and Clare Corke is also highlighted for her finance capabilities. Vaughan Mills, who splits his time between Brisbane and Port Moresby heads the Corrs Chambers Westgarth  Australian and PNG practices.
