Position
Brian has 20 years’ experience in private sector commercial and mixed-use property investment, development, funding and leasing deals. Most recently Brian has focussed on managing real estate investment and development transactions, both where these are property-led or part of a wider corporate transaction.
Brian is well known in the Midlands property community and has been recognised personally in industry directories as “an investment specialist who is very strong on technical detail”.
Brian’s recent experience includes advising:
- on the sale of a company that owns 47 industrial sites;
- on the acquisition of a 50% stake in three waste to energy power plants;
- Lone Star on the acquisition of the Mercure and Shearings hotel chains; and
- Enfield Council, as funder and landlord, on a new 66,000 sq ft commercial office building.
Career
Brian studied Law and French at Queen’s University Belfast and Université Catholique de Louvain la Neuve in Belgium before completing his training contract at Eversheds.
