Ying Mu's main practice areas include enterprise IP portfolio management and risk prevention, contentious intellectual property and competition disputes, covering trademark law, copyright law, patent law, anti-unfair competition law and anti-trust law. She has considerable experience of providing particular services regarding trademark and patent authorization and affirmation litigation, and anti-trust matters concerning IP issues.

Position

Ms. Mu used towork in the court and engaged in intellectual property trial for nine years and has dealt with over 1,000 cases. Some of them were selected as “Top Ten IP Model Cases of Beijing Courts” and “Top Ten Innovative Cases”. Ms. Mu used to participate in a number of research projects involving various IP issues, and published dozens of research articles.

In addition, Ms. Mu has participated in the expert discussions on the revision of intellectual property law and the formulation of judicial interpretation for many times. Ms. Mu has advised Chinese and international clients across a wide range of industries, including internet, communication, medical and etc., on infringement litigations involving patent, trademark and copyright, judicial reviews on patent and trademark authorization, invalidation and affirmation, anti-unfair competition and anti-trust litigation, as well as intellectual property advisory and consulting work.

Career

Prior to joining Global, Ms. Mu has worked with Beijing First Intermediate People’s Court from 2008 to 2014 as a clerkand judge. She worked as a judge in Beijing Intellectual Property Court from 2015 to 2017. She joined Global Law Office in October 2017.
