Jonathan Peet has over 30 years’ commercial property experience. He joined Sherrards in 2019 from Gosschalks, where he was an equity partner for 17 years and the lead partner for all acquisitions, disposals and other property work for a national charity. He also acted on property transactions for a national high street bookmaker and other household-name retailers.

Prior to joining Gosschalks, Jonathan’s career included ten years at the leading international law firm Simmons and Simmons. He also worked at Hammonds (now Squire Patton Boggs) and Lloyds Bank.

Jonathan undertakes a broad range of commercial property work with an emphasis on retail. He deals with all aspects of acquisition and disposal work, both freehold and leasehold, management and investment, together with handling secured lending transactions. He also provides commercial property advice on corporate support matters.

Jonathan takes a commercial and pragmatic approach to all transactions, ensuring they proceed in a swift and cost-effective manner. His in-house experience, at Lloyds Bank, enables him to view transactions through the eyes of the client, allowing him to better understand their needs.

When not working, Jonathan is an enthusiastic cyclist and a member of his local cycling club. He also enjoys scuba diving, skiing and flying and holds a private pilot’s licence. Very occasionally, when it’s not raining, he may be seen driving his TVR.
