Ms. Velarde specializes in general corporate work, acquisitions, joint ventures and foreign investments, securities, energy and mining law. Ms. Velarde provided legal advice in connection with the US$920 Million equity offering of a local conglomerate company in the Philippines, at that time the largest equity offering in the Philippines to date. She was also involved in the most recent stock rights offer of the largest banking institution in the Philippines. Ms. Velarde has provided legal advice to both the private and public sectors in connection with the Public-Private Partnership program in the Philippines. In particular, she has advised the Department of Education in the bidding for the Public School Infrastructure Project and the Department of Public Works and Highways in the bidding for the Cavite-Laguna Expressway Projects.
