Kwan Sik Yu is an attorney of Kim & Chang’s Investment Management, Real Estate & Construction, and Structured Finance Practices.

Mr. Yu has practiced broadly in the areas of inbound and outbound real estate investments and M&A including developments and re-developments, real estate trusts, real estate financing, investment structuring, straightforward acquisitions and dispositions, and securitized real estate transactions through REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts), REFs (Real Estate Funds), ABS (Asset Backed Securities), PFVs (Project Finance Vehicles), and PEFs (Private Equity Funds). Mr. Yu also has extensive experience advising on complex real estate disputes and litigations. Mr. Yu has provided comprehensive and valuable advice on investment structuring issues to clients based on his experienced negotiation skills and substantive knowledge of corporate, real estate, financing, and tax laws.

Mr. Yu advises numerous domestic and foreign as well as private and institutional developers and investors on matters including pension funds, private equity funds, insurance companies, commercial banks, and investment banks from every angle and aspect of real estate transactions.

Kwan Sik Yu is singled out for his ‘profound legal knowledge’ and is ‘always aware of up-to-date regulation changes’; he and Jin-Ho Song continue to advise Mastern No.28 CENTRE POINT Myeongdong PFV on land acquisition and development in the Myeongdong area of Seoul. In outbound investment work, Keun Ah Cho, Sang Min Lee and David Pyun acted for Mirae Asset Global Investments in the acquisition of a landmark building in Frankfurt, Germany, valued at €281m.
