Kyoung Yeon (Kay) Kim is an attorney at Kim & Chang who specializes in antitrust and competition, international practice, data privacy and environment.

Ms. Kim advises the firm’s clients in the semiconductor, IT, automobile, aerospace and retail distribution industries. In addition, Ms. Kim represents various multinational companies in the antitrust area, including merger filings related to mergers & acquisitions, abuse of dominance and cartel activities.

Ms. Kim worked on secondment at the Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP Hong Kong office from 2007 to 2008.

Ms. Kim has regularly participated in the activities of ABA International Section and ICC Competition task force related to antitrust law and has contributed to several leading legal publications, including Chapter on Korea – The Cartels and Leniency Review and Merger Control Review – Law Business Research. She was also recognized by major legal media outlets as a Leading Lawyer.

Ms. Kim received an LL.M. from University of Michigan Law School in 2007, graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2001, and received an LL.B. from Seoul National University College of Law in 1998. She is admitted to the New York bar and the Korean bar.
