At Allen & Gledhill LLP, Dr Stanley Lai, SC ('a good strategist and IP litigator') is now the firm's sole Senior Counsel litigator following the departures of Ang Cheng Hock SC to the bench and Edwin Tong SC, who became Senior Minister of State for Law and Health. Despite these departures, the firm maintains a high market share of big-ticket Singapore disputes. Lai recently led the team that represented Credit Suisse Trust in a headline dispute concerning a trust set up by Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Georgian billionaire and former Prime Minister of Georgia. The 'truly excellent', 'professional' and 'fantastic' team features William Ong, who 'can zero in on the key issues of concern, map out strategic solutions and passionately deliver legal arguments'. Vincent Leow provides 'very good and practical advice' and 'impresses with the quality of his work'. Jason Chan is noted for white-collar crime and investigations, while Tay Yong Seng 'truly goes above and beyond' and 'understands what the business is and what the business wants'. Peh Aik Hin is a 'top-tier lawyer' who is 'razor sharp in getting to the issues and addressing concerns'. Kristy Tan has has joined the Attorney General's Chambers.
