Madelene is a principal lawyer and head of the industrial disease team, the travel litigation team and the military injuries team.
Madelene specialises in claims for compensation for victims and their families of asbestos related diseases, chemical poisonings, occupational asthma, noise induced hearing loss as well as workplace accidents.
She also specialises in Carbon Monoxide Poisoning cases which is an extremely unique area of law. It is highly unlikely that there is another lawyer in the country who has as much expertise in these types of cases. She has been involved in, and continues to get instructed on, high profile CO cases including CO fatalities.
Madelene joined Pannone Solicitors as a trainee solicitor in 2005 and qualified as a solicitor in 2007. She became a Principal Lawyer with Slater and Gordon in 2014.
Madelene is an Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) accredited Senior Litigator and Occupational Disease Specialist.

The team covers a variety of specialist practice areas – Andrew Zajac manages the RTA group, while Michael Hardacre heads the employers’ and public liability teams. Matthew Tomlinson leads the industrial disease team, where Pauline Chandler and David (Jon) Andrews are also noted. The abuse litigation group is led by Richard Scorer; Kim Harrison is also noted for her experience in CSA inquiries. Ben Gent joined the medical negligence team from Express Solicitors Ltd in March 2021; he has been leading the Manchester medical negligence practice, which handles birth and spinal injury cases, cauda equina and delayed diagnosis of cancer cases.
