Career

Gareth Curtis is the Managing Partner in the Manchester office. Gareth Curtis joined Stowe Family Law in October 2017.

Gareth is pragmatic and commercial in his approach with a focus on providing clients with an excellent service and achieving desirable outcomes.

Gareth has a wide range of experience in family law matters and specialises in financial remedy cases, including high net worth, complex financial, business and Trust arrangements, freezing injunctions and maintenance pending suit actions. He advises on cases involving cohabiting couples, and drafts, pre- and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.  He takes a particular interest in cases involving financial provision for children where the parents are unmarried.

Gareth also has considerable experience inle complex and straightforward cases concerning private law arrangements for Children

Gareth is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is qualified as an Arbitrator in financial remedy cases, cases concerning Schedule 1 of the Children Act and Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.

Education

Gareth secured a 2:1 at the University of Manchester in Law and Government. After attending the College of Law at Chester, he trained in Manchester and qualified as a Family Law specialist in October 2003. Prior to joining Stowe Family Law, Gareth worked at a multinational law firm for over ten years.

Gareth is also a Qualified Arbitrator in financial remedy cases, cases concerning Schedule 1 of the Children Act and Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
