Position

Isobel is a solicitor in the Corporate Department. Isobel acts for clients on share and asset sales and reorganisations for private owner-managed businesses as well as large international companies.
Isobel also advises clients on all aspects of commercial work, including terms of business, supplier contracts, non-disclosure agreements, website terms and privacy statements, data protection policies, directors' duties and liabilities and a variety of other commercial matters.

Isobel graduated from University College London with a BA in History. She initially pursued a career as a secondary school history teacher before re-training as a solicitor.

Head of corporate Jonathan Gatward and head of M&A Nick Sayers advised Fairfield Industries on its acquisition of WGP Group and its subsidiaries from surveying services company Thalassa Holdings, and Gatward also acted for Legrand Electric on its acquisition of monitoring software developer Jontek. Senior associate Howard Taylor and solicitors Marcia Kidd and Isobel Symonds are also key members of the team, whose other clients include Bonnier Publishing, DNA Fit, Pineapple Holdings and Typhoo Tea. Max Baird-Smith moved to Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP.
