My expertise is in advising clients on tax planning, succession and related issues often in conjunction with other professionals and my contentious trust and probate colleagues.  I enjoy ensuring that my advice is understandable and the legal solutions used are tailored to my client’s personal circumstances to ensure their objectives are achieved.

I frequently advise on trusts and trust investments and often acts as a trustee and as a director of the Paris Smith Trust Corporation Ltd.

Memberships

I am a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) (being the immediate past Chair of the Central Southern Branch), Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and the Law Society Private Client Section. I am also a member of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute.
