The 'extremely proactive and responsive' infrastructure lawyers at Osborne Clarke LLP 'are always working on the next thing and highlighting potential issues before they arise'. Chris Wade is based in Bristol and 'devotes a significant effort to understanding the business and the objectives of the transaction'; he recently teamed up with David North to advise Arlington Seaside as investor on the acquisition and debt financing of a portfolio of four student accommodation projects. On the energy front, James Watson represented Gas Power Developments in its acquisition and financing of gas peaking plant portfolio with merchant offtake support, and acted for John Laing Investments in its takeover and development of an onshore wind farm. Other key names to note include Andrew Normington , regulatory specialist Simon Hobday and financing expert Omar Al-Nuaimi . The team was recently bolstered by the arrival of construction litigator Rob Horne from Simmons & Simmons and Alistair Curzon from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP .
