Alexandre is a partner in the Competition and Commercial law department at Osborne Clarke.

He combines wide spectrum skills in all areas of economic law with in-depth expertise in competition law, distribution law and commercial litigation.

Alexandre was involved in many of the most significant vertical restraints cases in France (notably the “Perfume case”, the “Toys case” and the “Dermo-cosmetics case” concerning the issue of Internet reselling of products object of selective distribution) and he regularly assists clients during dawn raids and cartel litigation or for merger control filings.

He is also actively involved in numerous anti-trust and commercial litigations and his expertise includes cartel damage claim follow-on private enforcement expertise.

Prior to joining the firm, Alexandre was senior associate of the European and Economic Law practice at Gide since 2000. He spent five years working at International offices.

Alexandre  is an active member of the Association des avocats Pratiquant le Droit de la Concurrence (APDC) and the Association Française d’Etudes de la Concurrence.


In addition to his Doctorate in European Law, Alexandre holds a Master degree in Private Law (University of Paris II – Panthéon Assas, 2001). Alexandre was called to the Paris Bar in 2003.

In addition to competition and distribution issues, senior associate Thibaut Marcerou also acts on consumer matters, such as sales promotions, T&CS and unfair business practices.

Le champ d’expertises recouvre les opérations de concentration, les pratiques commerciales restrictives et les restrictions verticales, ainsi que les recours indemnitaires. L’équipe assiste aussi ses clients lors de visites et saisies.
