At¬†Norton Rose Fulbright,¬†David Marshall¬†recently succeeded outgoing partner¬†Richard Bull¬†as practice head, with Bull moving to¬†Proskauer Rose LLP. Marshall's team handles all stages of the investment lifecycle for a wide range of clients, including private equity investors, corporates and management teams. In 2017, Marshall and senior associate¬†Sophie O‚ÄôConnor¬†acted for the management team of Esendex in its acquisition by HgCapital from Darwin Private Equity.¬†Jason Moss¬†and of counsel Sarah Tonks¬†assisted TOMS Capital and Nomad Foods Limited with acquiring Green Isle Foods Limited for ‚ā¨225m. Another key figure is¬†Bayo Odubeko, who has particular experience of acting for Africa-focused private equity and infrastructure funds in their investments into Africa. Odubeko advised Alta Semper Capital on the acquisition of a controlling interest in Egyptian consumer healthcare company Macro Holding from its founders. The firm's other clients include One Peak Partners, Scottish Equity Partners and ValueAct Capital.

    In recent years, the country ŐĀs the government has been committed to improving Taxation in Nicaragua and attempting to follow the legislative model used by some of the other countries in the region. Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
