Within: EU and competition

Norton Rose Fulbright’s antitrust and competition department has an abundance of experience handling investigations by the CMA. Of particular note, department co-head Peter Scott, supported by recently promoted partner Caroline Thomas, is representing PwC in the CMA’s high-profile market study into the statutory audit market. The team is strong in the merger control space, where Mark Tricker took the lead advising PayPal on the CMA’s Phase II-investigation of PayPal’s $2.2bn acquisition of financial technology company iZettle. Adjusting to recent market trends and the regulator's areas of focus, other growing streams of work for the group involve instructions regarding competition law concerns resulting from Brexit, digital markets and blockchain. Practice co-head Ian Giles is highly recommended.
