Lynn Cowley joined Nockolds in 1990 and was made Partner is 1997; Lynn also heads the Family Team and International Team. Before joining the firm Lynn graduated from York University in English and Politics. She qualified as a Solicitor in 1989 whilst working with Hertfordshire County Council, and gained a postgraduate diploma in Local Government Law and Practice.
Lynn works on a variety of contentious matters for business clients, including County and High Court litigation, and judicial review applications. The rest of her practice is in high value financial cases for family clients. She is an accredited specialist of Resolution in three named areas, high value ancillary relief, cohabitation and pension problems. She is also a trained collaborative lawyer.
Lynn was recommended in the latest edition of the Legal 500 (2017 edition): ‘Key figure Lynn Cowley has notable expertise in dealing with property and assets based in Spain, and also advises on cohabitation and pensions issues’. Lynn was also quoted in the Legal 500 (2015 edition) as having the ability to ‘think outside the box when presented with unusual and difficult matters’. Lynn was recognised as a leader in the field for Family Law in London in 2015.
