Position

Partner and Head of our Insolvency and Restructuring Team.

Career

Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and worked at Davies Arnold Cooper before moving to Halliwell Landau (latere Halliwells) where he became a partner in 2003. After nearly 10 years at Halliwells, Richard moved to JMW to set up its insolvency practice and led the team there for over a decade.

Memberships

Richard is a fellow of R3 (the Association of Business Recovery Professionals), the trade association for the UK’s insolvency and restructuring sector.

As well as sitting on R3’s national council as North West regional representative, he also chairs its national membership committee and held the position of R3 North West Regional chair from 2014 to 2017.

Richard has ranked in Insolvency Today’s Power 100, a list of the UK’s most influential insolvency professionals.
