Ann Thomas is a solicitor, civil and family mediator, a trained collaborative lawyer and the Managing Partner and co-founder of iFLG. She is a leading international children lawyer with a recognised specialism in child relocation. She regularly lectures and writes extensively on this area of law. She has been involved in a number of high-profile reported cases. Ann is a mediator and one of the first to qualify in cases involving the direct consultation with children.

Ann was previously head of family department at a Mayfair law firm, and head of department at a large regional firm in Cambridge. Ann is often asked by the media to comment on topical issues in family law. She is an advanced accredited solicitor (The Law Society s family law panel). She has written a number of articles on the recent developments in family law and has also presented seminars on international aspects of family law in this country and in other European countries, Ann also regularly lectures to the legal profession both in this country and abroad. Co-author of ‘Cupids Arrow: A Guide for International Families’; author of relocation of children chapter of ‘International Aspects of Family Law’ (Resolution); author of the chapter on international relocation in ‘The International Family Law Practice’ (Jordans) 4th edition.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
