Position

Jon is a litigator who specialises in Chancery and Commercial Court work and arbitrations.  He acts for private clients (often in relation to contentious aspects of their commercial and business affairs), privately-owned companies and individual and corporate trustees (both onshore and offshore). 

Jon’s practice covers contentious trust and probate, company and commercial, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, fraud, financial services, art and chattels disputes and professional negligence cases in these areas.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
