Career
Prior to arriving in the Cayman Islands, Richard practiced as a Senior Associate in the Disputes team of a leading full service law firm in Australia. During that time, Richard primarily focused on the institution, conduct and defence of contentious insolvency and restructuring litigation on behalf of liquidators, as well as acting on behalf of both corporate and individual clients in various commercial disputes – including but not limited to: leasing, franchise and joint venture disputes, debt recovery actions, breach of contract claims, strata disputes, as well as breach of confidence and professional negligence claims.

Education
Richard graduated from the University of Melbourne in Australia with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts. He was called as a Barrister and Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia in 2012 and admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands in 2019.
