Position

Anthony is a highly regarded lawyer. He has held several central roles at Mishcon de Reya, including serving on our Management Board, ten years as head of the litigation practice and is currently our Deputy Chairman.

Anthony is the Firm’s most senior solicitor advocate, and has appeared in both the High Court and the Court of Appeal. He has significant experience in arbitration and is involved in the Firm’s work in public advocacy.

Anthony is a trusted advisor to his often high-profile clients, and typically acts for ultra-high net worth families and individuals in personal and business disputes. Anthony’s clients also include companies and charities.

As a recognised academic, Anthony now holds the Chair in Law and Arts in the Faculty of Law, UCL. He was for several years a visiting professor at Birkbeck, University of London in the Department of English and the Humanities. He is a noted author who has written extensively on law, literature, art and culture.

Anthony serves as Chairman or Non-Executive Director of a number of companies, some of which are clients of Mishcon de Reya. He was co-founder and first chairman, and then Vice President, of the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund until it was wound up. He also serves as a Trustee on several charitable and non-profit organisations.
