Career

Fábio Galvão is an executive with 27 years of professional experience in the
public and private sectors, starting in 1994 as a career employee at CVM –
Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (Securities and Exchange Commission of
Brazil). Lawyer (OAB/RJ 167.179) graduated from the Rio de Janeiro State
University (UERJ), he specialized in Capital Markets and Corporate Law.
He is a Production Engineer (CREA RJ-148538/D) graduated from the Federal
University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with emphasis in Economic Engineering,
and a certified Mathematics professor.

Master in Law of Regulated Economic Sectors from the Complutense University of Madrid and in Public Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), a Post-graduate degree in Corporate Law from Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais (IBMEC – Brazilian Capital Markets Institute), he is Member of the Board of Directors of OABPrev-RJ, Lead Auditor for ISO 37001 (Anti-bribery) and 37301 (Compliance), Member of the Special Board, distinction degree, of the Order of Military Judicial Merit.

Former President and Director of Industrial Development of Companhia de Desenvolvimento Industrial do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (CODIN/RJ – Industrial Development Office of Rio de Janeiro), Former member of the Board of Directors of Companhia Estadual de Águas e Esgotos do Rio de Janeiro (CEDAE – Water and Sanitation Company) and of the Agência Estadual de Fomento do Rio de Janeiro (AgeRio – State Development Agency of Rio de Janeiro), Former member of the Investment Committee of OABPrev-RJ.

Chairman of the Administrative Law Committee of the Brazilian Attorneys
Association of Rio de Janeiro (ABA/RJ), Vice-Chairman of the National
Committee on Administrative Law of the Brazilian Attorneys Association (ABA), and Member of the Committee on Sanctioning Administrative Law of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB). From 1994 to 2005, he worked in the areas of Market Surveillance, Company Surveillance and Enforcement (investigation and inquiry commissions). From 2006 to 2007, he assumed as Market Surveillance Manager. From 2008 to 2011, he was Superintendent of Sanctioning Processes and Member of the CVM’s Commitment Terms Committee.

He joined the private sector in 2011 and has 11 years of professional
experience as a lawyer specialized in Capital Markets and Corporate Law, as
well as a consultant in the implementation and certification of Anti-Bribery and
Compliance Management Systems.

During his term as CEO of CODIN/RJ, this company became the first Brazilian
government-owned company to receive the ISO 37.001 (Anti-Bribery Management System) certification, in January 2020.
