Artington Legal is a dynamic, thriving and forward-thinking commercial law firm and a member of an alliance of similar-minded law firms across Europe and the USA.  Clients include fast-growing early-stage companies and mid-tier and listed companies in the UK and internationally.

Tad Ostrowski (Managing Director) founded Artington Legal in 2012.  Formerly an associate at US and UK law firms in the City of London, and a General Counsel at Travelport (NYSE) and an AIM-listed company, Tad has over 15 years of senior-level experience.  This includes industry experience in the travel technology and water technology sectors.  His work focuses on M&A’s, disposals, fundraisings and joint ventures, preparing companies for IPO, negotiating major commercial contracts and a wide range of commercial law matters.

When Artington Legal began, Tad’s vision was to provide an alternative, savvy approach to legal advice for all types of businesses, based on commercial understanding, innovation and collaboration.  Having started as an M&A lawyer in the City and then spending over 12 years in-house leading legal teams in international businesses, he felt there was an opportunity to provide a new kind of legal service.

Through his experience of having instructed many external law firms as a General Counsel, he wanted to build a law firm with a team of lawyers who:

  • can see the big picture and really understand the commercial drivers behind the need for legal advice;
  • help to get the deal done;
  • are proactive in suggesting improvements and efficiencies;
  • are responsive and keep the client well informed;
  • take a modern approach to pricing; and
  • work collaboratively with each other and with clients.

To deliver this modern service, Artington Legal’s recruitment strategy is focused as much on attracting the right personalities as well as legal ability. The firm has built a team of highly experienced business lawyers, with a strong track record of working at major law firms as well as in-house at a senior level within modern, fast growing, international businesses.

This notable, ever expanding and diverse team, based remotely across the UK and globally, collaborate well on various projects and are client-led in their approach.  Areas of expertise include:

Artington Legal’s lawyers are committed to driving each business transaction or matter forward with a modern, flexible approach.  With extensive in-house experience across the board, they have an enviable track record that delivers a stellar service to a wide range of companies, from multi-national corporations to small start-ups.
